Ms. Scantland joined the firm in 2006.  Currently, she is the Town Attorney for the Town of Platteville. Ms. Scantland represents clients in court and administrative hearings, as well as providing day-to-day legal counseling to public officials and staff on topics such as public records, open meetings, elections and municipal tax.  Her practice includes the drafting of local ordinances and resolutions, annexation agreements, intergovernmental agreements, and municipal contracts.  In addition, she has particular experience drafting and organizing home rule charters for both towns and counties.

Ms. Scantland is an adjunct professor at the University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business and has worked as a volunteer mediator for the Denver County Courts.
